Corporate Accountant Job Summary - GREAT OPPORTUNITY!
The Corporate Accountant position will be responsible for the day to day accounting for a growing real estate company that specializes in self-storage. The position requires strong communication skills and innovative thinking to communicate with and educate, finance and non-finance personnel on financial policies and procedures and reporting requirements.
This is an In-Office position and will be required to work in our beautiful office in Ladera Ranch.
Salary: starting at between $75,000 - $85,000
discretionary annual bonus
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Assists with the preparation of the monthly financial statement consolidation and quarterly financial statement package for senior management;
Coordinates and reviews monthly reporting from Property Accountants;
Assists with SEC filings;
Produces journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.;
Supports integration of new acquisitions;
Prepares supplemental financial schedules;
Assists in the preparation of internal reports for variance analysis;
Assists with external financial statement audits;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Needed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable work experience
Minimum 1 - 3 years' experience in Public Accounting and/or private company accounting experience
Strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
Exceptional time management skills
Be detailed oriented while multi-tasking in a fast-paced company
Possess creative thinking and ability to resolve issues
Must be hands-on and work effectively in a demanding environment
Be able to adapt quickly to change
Experience with Great Plains and ERP systems a plus
Real Estate experience a plus
