annual discretionary bonusTax Manager Job SummaryReporting to the Director of Taxes, the Tax Manager will ensure the company's state and federal tax documents are prepared and filed in a timely manner.
This role is responsible for developing solutions for potential tax issues and keeping abreast of new developments in tax legislation.
This job is 100% on-site in our beautiful Ladera Ranch office.
Essential Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesAccurately prepares and files federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.
Develops tax strategies to assist the company in being tax-compliant.
Identifies tax problems and develops solutions.
Completes responses and schedules in preparation for income tax audits.
Monitors and reviews developments in tax legislation.
Reviews tax returns.
Informs management and staff of developments in tax legislation.
Manages multiple projects efficiently.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications NeededBachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Business or related field required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is nice to have but not required.
Minimum two to three years of experience as a tax manager, public accountant or similar role required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with close attention to details.
Extensive knowledge of tax legislation.
Accurate math and accounting skills.
Sound problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and taxation software.
Ability to meet deadlines and find solutions to problems.
